Just a little something to prove I'm not dead. This was the first doodle I sketched on my new Bamboo Fun tablet! Still getting the hang of it -- not quite the same as drawing on paper, but a WHOLE LOT CLEANER... Right now I can only draw on it for a few minutes at a time without my hand cramping up, so it'll likely take a lot more practice before it comes easily to me.

But anyway, enjoy this in the meantime! Like I've been saying for ages, I've got a bunch of projects in the works, and they're all rather detailed -- nothing sketchy like this. So they're requiring a LOT more time to finish. But it is soooo nice to not have to do everything by mouse anymore!

Are your sketches always that clean? it doesn't look like sketches 8B but it's amazing nonetheless. I really like your style, the colors and shading is really great c:

Thanks! Considering I drew this straight into the computer, I didn't have to deal with any erasing or marking up the paper accidentally (I always press GORILLA HARD on the pencil and go through REAMS of paper this way). Also, the tablet pen has a pressure-sensitive feature, which allows more of a brushstroke, enabling me to control the width of the line and taper it off when I want -- something I could never do with pencil, but always tried to fake. *lol* It's not as easy as drawing with a pencil, but there's 100% less clean-up. A typical scanned-in pencil sketch will take me DAYS to clean up before I even start coloring. This is so much faster!

oh believe me even a computer sketch can be messy |D -is living proof-

you'l have to change that habit of pressing gorilla hard on the tablet though 8D I used to do that and.. my tip would go flat after one or two months XD

Even if you're a new tablet user you seem pretty good with it already C:

I had that cramping happen a lot, too. So I bought a sewing glove, and just wear it on that hand I'm drawing with. It made things soooo much better. I could use it for hours without being much more than a little stiff.

These are some nice ones [link]
